Why did you decide to become a UBELONG Volunteer?
Volunteering is something I have been wanting to do for some time now. I believe that education is a form of social justice, so I knew I wanted to volunteer in a school. And in searching for volunteering opportunities I came across UBELONG, who offered this at an affordable price. The communication and help I received from inquiries made me feel at ease and so I decided they were the right company for me.

As it relates to the UBELONG Local Team and in-country support: How was it?
The local team was outstanding. They made me feel welcome, at home and safe.

What three pieces of advice would you give to a future UBELONG Volunteer?
1. Go for it, it is an opportunity you won’t regret.

2. Don’t be too nervous, it is hard as you don’t know what to expect but I can assure you you will feel comfortable in no time.

3. Remember just like any experience you get out what you put in, so put in as much energy, love and open mindedness as you can.

In a sentence or less, what is your best packing advice.
Bring everything UBELONG recommends and make sure to research the weather conditions for the time of year you are there.
