Why did you decide to become a UBELONG Volunteer?
I decided to become a UBELONG volunteer, because after all my research UBELONG had one of the best reviews, and the projects seemed very interesting, specially the volunteering time, starting for a week to 6 months.
What is your favorite memory?
My favorite memory was on the farm, when we would have a break for lunch, we would seat on the tent, have a delicious lunch than relax there. It was just so simple but powerful, peaceful, a perfect place to meditate and to read a book.
Tell me about somebody you met who impressed you?
It’s an extremely hard question, since everyone I met impressed me in some way, some more than others but they all did. Starting from the volunteers who all had different interesting life stories, to the Laos people who received us and were always extremely kind and courteous, a friend I’ve met who was a solo traveller and volunteer for more than 10 months, they all inspired me positively. Because of this inspiration I already started making changes in my life, that’s why we need to step up of our comfort zone in order to flourish.
In a sentence or less, what did you think about the food?
Laos food was amazing, at least the ones we had on the volunteer house was divine.
