Why did you decide to become a UBELONG Volunteer?
I decided to become a UBELONG Volunteer because I truly felt safe with the program. I liked how detailed the website was and that I was able to look at other volunteer’s experiences and photos to reassure myself about my decision to volunteer abroad.

What impact did you make on your volunteer project?
I participated in the Childcare Project during my stay in Ho Chi Minh City, which allowed me to immerse myself in the community while providing some help for the local orphanages and shelters. I also had the opportunity to work with and care for disabled children, an experience that truly changed my life in ways that I can’t explain.

How did you grow personally during your volunteer trip?
My trip allowed me to experience a world beyond my own, allowing me to interact with people from all over and develop life-long relationships in just a matter of two weeks. It was truly a humbling experience that transformed me for the better.

In a sentence or less, how would you sum up your volunteer experience?
My trip gave me the chance to grow so much in such a short period of time, an experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world.
