Why did you decide to become a UBELONG Volunteer?
I was looking for a volunteering program in Mexico and I wanted to teach children. So I started my research on the internet and finally found the teaching English program from UBELONG. I was so happy because it was exactly what I wanted to do. That’s why I began to contact UBELONG and decided to apply.

What was your impact on your volunteer project?
I knew that children with knowledge in English have better chances to live a better life. That was my motivation to teach them everything I know and I really have that feeling, that some of my pupils can be successful later in their lives.

What were your major challenges?
My major challenge was the language. Even though I had 3 years Spanish at school, I had a really hard time to remember all these words and tenses. But I did my best and at the end I could improve my skills.

What is your favorite memory?
My favorite memories are the trips with the other volunteers on the weekend.
