What is a Gap Year?

A gap year is a year spent taking time off between life stages. It usually includes traveling while learning and/or volunteering. It typically includes activities that enable the individual to experience personal growth. It often includes the time between high school and university, undergraduate and graduate school or between university and an individual’s launch into a career.

How It Works

UBELONG offers Gap Year Programs in a variety of locations around the world.  From teaching English to caring for children with disabilities, there are many ways in which an individual can meet the needs of others.  Our programs are available in 4, 12 or 24 week durations and include lodging, transportation from the airport, and two or three meals a day, depending on the location. We have team leaders at every location to provide safety and oversight to our projects.
